Foundational Music Programme

TE URUNGA is Crescendo’s Foundational Music Programme. Learn the art of music creation and performance! 

 

If you’re a beginner or looking to build on existing skills, this course offers the tools and knowledge to help you grow as a musician, singer, songwriter or producer.

 

Free for youth 15-24yrs.

Classes run over 10 weeks on Mon & Tues, 4-7pm.

WHAT

TE URUNGA, meaning “the entrance”, is perfect for anyone eager to learn how to make and record music, improve songwriting skills and bring creative ideas to life. Over the course, you’ll write your own song and have the opportunity to perform it at our term-end graduation showcase.

WHEN

MONDAYs & TUESDAYs 4 - 7pm TERM 2: Mon 28th April - Thurs 3rd July. Graduation Date: Thurs 3rd July. No class on Monday 2nd June (Kings Birthday). TERM 3: Mon 21st July - Thurs 25th September. Graduation Date: Thurs 25th September. TERM 4: Mon 13th October - Thurs 18th December. Graduation Date Thurs 18th December. No class on Mon 27th October (Labour Day).

Don't be shy. A lot of artists let their nerves get the best of them which causes you to muck up a lot especially when it comes to developing your own music. Be confident.
