Crescendo’s youth programmes engage youth around creativity and music. Designed for youth that may be disengaged with traditional learning environments, Crescendo programmes offer small class sizes and an informal learning environment.
Youth will work alongside like minded peers, under the guidance of industry professionals. All programmes combine both ‘hard skills’ - practical learning and ‘power skills’ - like communication and resilience to build both skills and confidence in youth.
Never give up on yourself or your dream. There is always somebody who can help you achieve your goals and elevate your potential. Crescendo is amazing at this and over the years I've worked with them, I have always left with more motivation and a stronger belief in my abilities.

Do you have questions about our pathways? Our FAQ section has answers to the most common questions.
How long are the programmes? All Crescendo youth programmes are 10 weeks in length. The days and time differ depending on each programme.
Is there a cost? Crescendo’s programmes are free for youth aged 15-24 to attend thanks to our generous funders.
Where are they taught? Crescendo programmes are based at the Te Puna Creative Innovation Quarter, 8-14 Henderson Valley Road, Henderson.
What if I am over 24? If you are over 24 and looking to up-skill in music production or recording, Crescendo Studio offers 2 hour 1-1 lessons for $150. Get in touch via studio@crescendo.org.nz
Can I refer a young person I work with? Yes, Crescendo accepts referrals from youth workers and agencies. If you want to make a time to meet the mentors and tour the programmes space, please get in touch via programmes@crescendo.org.nz

What dates are the Open days in 2025? Open Days in 2025 are: Term 2 Open Day: Saturday 29th March 10am - 2pm Term 3 Open Day: Saturday 21st June 10am - 2pm Term 4 Open Day: Saturday 13th September 10am - 2pm
